Six ounce equivalents each day. An ounce equivalent of this group would be:
1 ounce of meat, poultry, or fish.
¼ cup of cooked beans
1 egg A small handful of nuts or seeds
1 tablespoon of peanut butter
Grains
Three ounce equivalents each day. An ounce equivalent of this group would be:
1 piece of bread
½ cup of cooked cereal (oatmeal)
½ cup of rice
1 cup of cold cereal
Vegetables
Unlimited portions on all green veggies with one cup of any other color vegetable.
Fruits
Two cups per day

Cow’s Milk – substitute Vanilla Rice Milk
Wheat – substitute Oat, Rice, Bran, Spelt
Red
Meat – substitute Ground Turkey
